Beijing Fangshan District is located in the southwest of Beijing as a strategic fulcrum of linking Beijing and Shijiazhuang, guiding the radiation of Bohai economic circle extends into the inland. The significance of the project is leveraging the rise of southwest of Beijing,  fulfilling the gaps of Fangshan facilities, enhancing the level of comprehensive international service in Fangshan, and leading into the regional integration strategy to achieve leapfrog development in the region.
Main tasks of the case: the overall conceptual planning in key areas of 11.19 km2, the detailed planning in central business district of 1.12 square kilometers, and the detailed planning of government offices, commercial construction is 0.30 square kilometer. Determine the scale of construction land, and delineate the scope of construction land; view the development of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of Fangshan with a global vision and regional perspective, analyze the relationship between the region's development with Beijing and the Bohai economic circle. Aims at clearing Fangshan’s  responsibilities in regional economic environment and urban development of Beijing, determining the functional orientation of the region, development objectives and the scale of construction; according to Beijing high-tech manufacturing industry for the region's needs, the functional requirements analysis and functional floor layout is scientific and rational.
